4 Week Introduction to TRE
February 1 @ 19:30 - 20:30
TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a powerful method for experiencing relief from stress, anxiety and trauma, by releasing deeply held tension in the body.
TRE® unravels chronic patterns of stress and tension stored in the muscles, and discharges stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, by activating the body’s natural ability to shake. This shaking process occurs through accessing the body’s tremor mechanism existing in all mammals, which is the body’s most natural way of coming down from the fight-flight-freeze response.
In this four-week course you will learn the technique and be able to safely continue with TRE® on your own at home, experiencing profound benefits to your emotional, mental and physical wellbeing over time. To learn more about TRE® and its pioneer, Dr David Berceli, visit http://www.traumaprevention.com/.
Over the four weeks you will learn a set of seven exercises designed to fatigue the muscles, invoking the body’s innate ability to shake. After the exercises we then lie on the mat, remaining present, and allowing the tremors to move through the body naturally. Most people report a feeling of relaxation while doing TRE® and others experience a physical or emotional release during the session.
People all over the world have reported noticeable benefits from practicing TRE® including: reduced anxiety and worry, increased energy, greater emotional resilience and resilience to stress, reduced muscle and back pain, and relief from chronic medical conditions.
